About me

I’m a printmaker although I also take photographs, paint a little and make mixed media pieces. I sell only original work – no reproductions. My prints and other work are for sale here on Etsy. I also have another Etsy shop where I sell reproductions of various vintage maps, posters and of Japanese woodblock prints. I’m also on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

I have no formal training in art, although I’ve done several short painting courses and I regularly attend a print workshop at a local college where I get great support and encouragement from the tutor and the other students. Some of us have recently got together to find ways to exhibit and promote our work. We don’t have a web page yet, but you can find us on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/WPrintCreatives and on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/WiltshirePrintCreatives

I started taking photographs at university in the 1960s and have continued ever since. Digital technology freed me from the wet darkroom and I began making images by digital manipulation of photos and photo collage. From there I moved on to traditional ‘hand pulled’ printmaking such as collagraph, monoprint and drypoint. I’ve just invested in a UV Exposure unit for photopolymer etching and I’m looking forward to experimenting further. I’ve also started experimenting with gel printing (you can find some of that work in my Portfolio Pages) and with mixed media and collage.

I sell smaller pieces on-line via my Etsy shop, including both finished pieces and sketches and studies for larger prints.purples
